It’s time to rejoice for sports lovers. Post months of waiting, SonyLIV is back with a cluster of live sports offerings to make binging fun. From football, cricket and tennis to a hefty dose of comedy and India’s biggest reality show, there’s entertainment galore on the platform in the coming months.

First up is a breather for cricket lovers. The much-awaited India Tour of Australia will go live on the platform starting 27th November. In one of the most high-octane series in International cricket, Team Kohli will take on the Aussies for three ODIs, three T20s and 4 test matches at their home turf till 15th January 2021.

The tournament will be available for viewing to SonyLIV’s premium subscribers across four language feeds in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu. With a 12-10 win-loss record against the hosts in recent past, the men in blue are looking to kick off the series with a slight edge over Australia led by Aaron Finch.

Amongst the tournaments already streaming, the most popular is the UEFA Champions League 2020-21, the 66th season of Europe’s premier club football tournament. Started on October 27, the high octane sporting event has reached the third round of group stage matches with Real Madrid and Inter Milan set for a showdown. With biggies like Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and more all locking horns this week, the road  ahead for Champions League has a lot in store for all football enthusiasts. Add to that, the UEFA Europa League and Serie A matches and there’s aplenty on offer for soccer fans in India.

2021 kicks off with another major sporting event – Australian Open 2021. Post a suspended calendar in 2020 due to the pandemic, all eyes will now be on the next grand slam to be held in Melbourne till January 31, 2021. With Rafael Nadal headlining the event next year, this would make for a scintillating watch on SonyLIV.

And if all of this isn’t enough, KBC Play Along is there to add to the consumer delight. The highly popular second screen engagement feature got an upgrade this time dishing 10 lacs as prize money everyday to 10 people across India. There are also numerous prizes like a Car, Television set, Mobile phones, Bluetooth speakers amongst various others electronics and gift cards that the users stand to win through the season.

However, the action isn’t limited to sports and games only. There are new entrants in the English content catalogue too. Dr Shaun Murphy returns in The Good Doctor S4 with a lot to unfold. Following a power packed finale to the last season, the new installment would also focus on the pandemic as Dr Murphy takes up new challenges. Wrongfully convicted prisoner-turned-litigator and social crusader Aaron Wallace also returns with For Life S2 continuing his fight and embarking on a more personal journey to reclaim freedom.

SonyLIV also brings to its users a heady blend of comedy and satire in its next offering, Uncommonsense by Saloni. As India’s first non-fiction sketch comedy hosted by a female comedian, Saloni Gaur, this show promises to deliver a laugh riot on trending topics coupled with a social commentary on things that matter for the Indian middle-class structure.

Last but not the least, there’s a bit of mythology to binge on as well. Stand witness to a motivational talk show – Daan hosted by the reputed speaker Devdutt Pattnaik that dwells on age old stories of Mythology based on the concept of ‘giving’ and building a new society.

Also, up for viewing will be Mahabharat – Ant ya Aarambh, an 11-episode animation series that narrates the sequence of events on the last day of the battle of Mahabharata with a unique perspective.
