Box Office – Emraan Hashmi’s Azhar has a decent weekend

Azhar had a decent weekend at the Box Office as it went on to collect 20.8 crore over its first weekend. Now these are the best numbers for an Emraan Hashmi starrer since Jannat 2, which had collected 24 crore in its opening weekend. With this, the film has also gone past last few Emraan starrers like Ek Thi Daayan (18 crore), Raja Natwarlal (17.6 crore), Hamari Adhuri Kahani (16.5 crore) and Mr. X (14.2 crore).
Though reviews for the film are mixed, the audience word of mouth ranges from decent to good. This means that the Tony D’Souza starrer can sustain well during the weekdays. The film would be in safe territory once it goes past the 40 crore mark and that is pretty much on the cards.
