Box Office – Housefull 3 has a good Monday, set to go past 80 cr in Week One

Housefull 3 has done well on its first Monday. It is not surprising though since the film started growing from Friday evening itself and reached its pinnacle on Sunday where it truly came on its own. Since the film is catering to the family audiences, it would be the evening shows that would gain maximum audience. This was evidenced on Monday too when the film brought in 8.25 cr. As a result, the Sajid-Farhad directed affair stands around 61.56 crore currently.

 

The trending pretty much indicates that the film would hold well on rest of the weekdays too. Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros can be rest assured that the film would have a Week One of around 80 crore. While it seems quite possible that the Week One of Fan [79.25 crore] would be surpassed, it would be interesting to see if Housefull 3 manages to demonstrate an even better hold and challenge Week One of Akshay Kumar’s own Airlift [83.5 crore] which had benefitted from the big holiday of Republic Day.

 

At the least, the film would surpass the lifetime collections of Sajid Nadiadwala’s own Baaghi [78 crore], Neerja [75.65 crore] and Kapoor & Sons [73.3 crore] in one week flat.

 

After a flat May which didn’t see any success, the month of June has found a winner to its name.
