Udta Punjab has seen good numbers [10.05 crore] coming on its first day.

Today is looking good too which means a weekend of at least 33 crore is on the cards.

There is no competition from past or present for the film.

The next big release is Sultan which arrives on 6th July.

All of this is making it look quite rosy for Udta Punjab for now.

The only deterrent is A certificate as well as the genre, which restricts audience footfalls and is also not everyone’s cup of tea.

Still, the film is set for a total which would be more than what anyone associated with it would have expected.
