Box Office – Pink is one of the biggest Hits of Amitabh Bachchan

There is some sigh of relief for the audience as well as industry in general. Since the release of Rustom, no new film had managed to do good business. Well, Pink has managed to do that and has turned out to be a big hit. With 21.5 crore* more coming in the second week, the film has now accumulated 57.5 crore* at the Box Office. This is a very good total for the film and is also amongst the highest grossers for many involved with the film.

Piku – 80 crore
Pink – 57.5 crore* (14 days)
Madras Cafe – 47 crore
Vicky Donor – 41 crore

On the other hand Banjo has turned out to be a big disappointment. The film’s collections are much lower than even the lowest of expectations that one may have carried from it. With just 9 crore* coming in Week One, the Riteish Deshmukh starrer has turned out to be a major flop at the Box Office. Parched and Days of Tafree have collected in lakhs and are more or less out of theaters.
