Box Office – M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story crosses 82 crore in 5 days

Neeraj Pandey’s M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story has turned out to be a good winner at the Box Office. The film is finding good audience coming its way during the weekdays too, something that is being demonstrated in Monday [8.51 crore] and Tuesday [7.5 crore] collections. In the times when even the weekend collections of some of the much publicized films have failed to score such numbers, it is remarkable that the film is generating such collections during the weekdays.

 

This pretty much reaffirms the kind of appreciation that the film has garnered and the word of mouth spreading for the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer that has enabled it to touch the 82.03 crore mark. Honestly, even if the film would have got these numbers as a lifetime score, not many associated with it would have minded that. No wonder, what comes in from this point on is good bonus as the economics put together by Fox had ensured that this Neeraj Pandey flick would always be a safe affair at the Box Office.

 

The film is yet another good marketing success for Fox too as after Neerja and Kapoor & Sons, they have managed to strike all the right boxes when it comes to reaching out to the target audiences and making an impact. They knew that their biggest brand association on the film was the man himself, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and they ensured that they harnessed it to the fullest.

 

Eventually, everyone associated with the film is having the last laugh and for audiences, finally there is a film after Rustom which has managed to get results across most centers of the country.
