What a summer Amit Sadh is gearing up for this lockdown season. Though till a few days back he was enjoying the cool hills of Mukteshwar, he is back in the grind on his return to Mumbai. Reason being that he has as many as three releases lined up ahead and that too in quick succession this summer.

 

These are Breathe 2, Shakuntala Devi and Avrodh.

 

While Breathe 2 and Avrodh are web series, Shukuntala Devi is a feature film which would incidentally make it straight to the OTT platform, hence making it a hat-trick of digital releases for Amit Sadh.

 

Though official dates are yet to be announced, it is pretty much on the cards that Avrodh would release in June while Breathe 2 and Shakuntala Devi would make it on the web in July.

 

Based on India’s surgical strike on Pakistan, Avrodh is an action drama thriller which has Amit playing the part of Major Tango, the Army officer who spearheaded this attack. Uri-The Surgical Strike is already a blockbuster and with Avrodh arriving on a longer format, courtesy the digital medium, this one too should follow suit on its arrival on Sony LIV.

 

Shakuntala Devi is a Vidya Balan starrer with Amit Sadh in a supporting role. A Vikram Malhotra production which has been directed by Anu Menon, this light hearted biopic is already in news for its arrival on Amazon Prime in July. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra and buzz is that along with his young counterpart, Amit has brought quite some charm into play on the screen with Vidya Balan leading the show as the ace mathematician Shakuntala Devi.

 

The on-screen arrival which is the hottest though for Amit Sadh is Breathe 2. One of the early entrants in the OTT space, Breathe was special as a 2018 release. As a cop, Amit Sadh had a job to nab a common man turned criminal [Madhavan]. Now with Abhishek Bachchan stepping into the arena, Amit has apparently further toughened up in this Vikram Malhotra and Mayank Sharma created series. If insider reports are to be believed, Amit would be seen in a deadly avtar in Breathe 2 and would make quite a few heads turn once it premieres on Amazon Prime.

 

All in all, it is going to be busy days ahead for Amit Sadh and with more signed engagements already in his kitty which he would start shooting for post the lockdown, guess there is a lot that would be seen of the actor who has recently completed 10 years in Bollywood.
