Box Office – Aishwarya-Randeep’s #Sarbjit already in profits?
===============================================

Sarbjit is collecting low at the Box Office. On Tuesday, the film brought in further 2.10 crore, and frankly, a much better hold was the need of the hour. Though the film had seen some jump in numbers, it had to be at least 2.5 crore or more on each of the weekdays. That has not been the case which means that with 18.35 crore in five days, the film would struggle to go beyond the Jazbaa Week One of 21.58 crore. This pretty much indicates that the Omung Kumar film is catering to a very select set of audience.
That said, the producers are still making decent profits on the film due to economics involved, as below:
COP + P&A – 23 crore
India + Overseas theatrical rights – 20 crore
Satellite + music – 12 crore
Profit – 9 crore
X-Men Apocalypse hasn’t added on to the big Hollywood successes of the year. On Tuesday, the film brought in 2.5 crore* more and the total now stands at 21.5 crore*. Its only consolation is that it is doing better than Sarbjit. On the other hand it has also managed to dilute the hype around Hollywood invading Bollywood. It is as simple as that – Only a good film works! Period.
* Final numbers awaited
