Box Office – Sultan is All Time Blockbuster, Great Grand Masti to score less than even Fitoor

Back in 2013, Grand Masti (second in Masti franchise) had enjoyed the first day of 12.5 crore. Such huge were collections for the film belonging to the adult comedy genre that it excited one and all amongst the industry.

 

Circa 2016 and the third in the series, Great Grand Masti, has failed to bring these numbers even in the entire weekend. In fact the kind of numbers that it has amassed so far, i.e. 8 crore*, the best case scenario for the Indra Kumar directed film would be to match 12.5 crore in an entire week.

 

Shocking, but true!

 

The film has been rejected in a big way and it is the one of the biggest disasters for all involved with it. No one really expected the film to fare so poorly but that has now happened. With this, Great Grand Masti has joined Fitoor as one of the biggest disasters of 2016. The Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer had brought in 19 crore in its final run and Great Grand Masti would end its run around the 15 crore mark!

 

As for Sultan, more moolah has come in for the Salman Khan starrer and it has now crossed the 250 crore mark. With around 34.07 crore more coming in, the film has accumulated 263.23 crore so far. An All Time Blockbuster already, this Yash Raj affair has ensured huge profits for everyone associated with it.
