Box Office – Rustom continues to do well, could surpass Akshay Kumar’s own Airlift

For the ultra-dramatic Rustom, there is steady audience coming in the third week as well. The film is seeing a good number of shows reserved for it and there is good audience footfalls as well, as a result of which 1.25 crore* more came in on third Friday. The Tinu Suresh Desai film has collected 118.25 crore* already and it is expected that after the weekend is through, the cumulative sum would read as 122.5 crore-123 crore.

There is competition from A Flying Jatt as well but that is expected when you are in the third week of your run. The Akshay Kumar starrer has got the best possible platform for it and now it has to be seen how far does it land up eventually.

Meanwhile, it is going to be quite an interesting ‘wait and watch’ journey from here.Akshay Kumar’s highest grosser of 2016 is Airlift [129 crore] and now Rustom has a real chance to go past that number, and eventually become the second highest grosser of 2016 after Sultan.
