Box Office – Low Monday for Bollywood

===============================================

It was a low Monday for Bollywood as just around 4 crore came in from the theatrical Box Office. Considering the fact that a day’s capacity via ticket sales is in the excess of 40 crore, numbers like these indicate just around 10% theatrical occupancy, which is extremely low.

Good chunk of even this number was made possible by Tiger Shroff’s A Flying Jatt which managed to bring in 2.5 crore on Monday. The film hasn’t quite demonstrated a hold after decent jumps on Saturday and Sunday. Consistency would be the key for the film to eventually go past the 40 crore mark. For that it would need to stay ultra-stable right through the rest of the weekdays now.

Happy Bhag Jayegi has managed to find decent foothold over the weekend and that is reflecting in the weekdays for the second week. Though the numbers are still low, the fact remains that the Diana Penty film is staying in contention and collecting. With 0.65 crore* coming in, the film’s current total is 22.75 crore*. So far, it has turned out to be a coverage affair.

Rustom is continuing with its Superhit run though and more collections trickled in the third Monday as well. 0.75 crore* more have been added on to its total and now the overall collections have crossed 123 crore. The film will just about hit the 125 crore before the close of third week.

*Final numbers awaited

Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
